Craft Your Own Rawhide Drum & Drumstick
Join me for a half-day drum-making gathering where you will create your own 15", 16" or 18" rawhide drum and drumstick.
We begin in circle with drumming — taking time to clear our energy and center ourselves before we begin. We honor the directions and acknowledge the life of the animal that gave its hide, offering tobacco and spoken gratitude.
Before we start lacing, you’ll take a few minutes to set your intention for what this drum will carry. You can write or paint your intention directly onto the wooden hoop.
From there, we move into the steady work of building.
You will stretch the hide, lace your drum, and bring it to life with your own hands.
By the end of our time together, you leave holding an instrument you made yourself — solid, usable, and meaningful.
Spring workshops are currently being scheduled, with an April date expected.
