Week 7 - (Below) Return to the Bones

Element: Earth

Theme/Invitation: Reclaiming the Forgotten

Grandmother Archetype:  The Bone Keeper - She walks the threshold between what’s been lost and what’s still alive. She sees through time, carries the stories buried deep, and whispers the truths that were never spoken aloud.

Animal Ally: Owl - A silent witness and guide through shadow. Owl helps us see in the dark, uncover what’s hidden, and retrieve what’s been waiting to be remembered.

Optional Homework

Week 7- Optional Homework

Do what calls to you.

Ritual Guide

This week, we turn toward the direction of Below, the place of lineage, legacy, and what lives in the bones.

This is about digging into what’s been buried; truths that were silenced, gifts that were hidden, patterns passed down through generations.

It’s a week of sacred disruption, reclamation, and deep remembering.

We’ll work with the element of Earth, the Grandmother known as The Bone Keeper, and the steady, shadow-seeing medicine of Owl.

What you’ll need:

  • Your white candle

  • A small item from nature (bone, feather, stone, or something that feels ancestral or grounding)

  • Something for your altar that represents lineage, memory, or ancestral truth

  • Your sacred object for the week

  • Pen and paper

  • A quiet space where you can reflect without interruption

  • Optional: incense, soil, or an item from your ancestry to hold during the meditation

This week is about going down, not to get lost in the dark, but to retrieve what was never meant to be forgotten. Let yourself feel what’s been waiting to be named. Let the silence speak. Let the Bone Keeper remind you who you’ve always been.

Sacred Object Work

This week, choose a sacred object that feels ancestral, buried, or quietly powerful.

Let it represent the stories that live in your bones, the ones you inherited, the ones you’re ready to release, and the ones you’re reclaiming.

This object will support your ritual and meditation as a symbol of what’s been unearthed and what’s being remembered.

You might choose:

  • A bone, stone, or feather found on a walk

  • An object passed down from an ancestor or family member

  • Something from the earth, like soil, bark, or ash

  • A symbol of strength, survival, or unspoken truth

There’s no right choice, only what feels right for you. Let your object reflect the part of you that’s always known.

Message from the Grandmother from Above

"You’ve been carrying what was never spoken.

The things that live in your silence? We know them well.

We carried them too.

The shame, the duty, the survival that came at the cost of your truth.

But listen now—

You are the descendant and the disruptor.

You get to break the oath of silence.

You get to say, 'No more.'

Let your hands shake.

Let your voice crack.

This is sacred undoing.

You are not here to carry their pain.

You are here to carry their power—

the songs that were buried, the dreams they never dared speak.

So dig.

Dig until you find the thing they were too afraid to leave you.

And then… rise with it in your hands."
